Hello, could someone clarify the requirements/procedure on return to UK from green list (Gibraltar) in July. I understand a test is needed before return flight and also within 2 days of arrival back. Do I need to find a testing station in Gibraltar or are they given at airport? Where do I get tested in UK? Thanks

There is no guarantee that Gibraltar will still be on the green list in July. There is no guarantee that what is required to enter the UK on 17th May will still apply in July.It will possibly also differ depending which country of the UK you are returning to.Best keep an eye on here:NB: this link takes you to requirements for England.0

Thank you both for the replies.Pollycat, I am fully aware the situation/rules/requirements/legislation/ guidelines/advice etc etc etc may very well be extremely different come tomorrow, let alone July.. As it stands under current proposals, I am asking how are these tests taken/provided for green list. I have read the links provided and also searched extensively online.,however I still don't understand the logistics. Will there be testing stations in the green list countries which provide the necessary result documentation? Or is it a self administered test, if so how does one provide proof.? Similarly in the UK ( England in this instance) where is test physically done? I really don't understand the testing system/ set up. Regards1

My point was...do you need to understand the logistics now when you're not travelling for at least 6 weeks and you admit things "may very well be extremely different come tomorrow, let alone July."1

Pollycat, thanks again for the reply. Rather than leave it till the last minute I feel a little understanding of the logistics of the testing requirements will be helpful. For example, will the tests abroad be done at designated testing stations, government labs, hospitals, surgeries, airport, or where? Or is a self test used, if so how does one provide proof/,evidence.? Some advance knowledge would be useful, in case booking in advance is required ( yes, I know it can change) so I will keep searching for the idiot's guide. Regards0

I cannot find anything on the link that shows how/where test is taken whilst in Gibraltar for return to UK.0 -
It is unlikely that they will offer a PCR test at the airport as some airlines require you to provide details of the test before you arrive there. I would search Gib covid tests.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
