Pram

I purchased a Infababy motto pram for the arrival of my granddaughter and after a couple of weeks one of the wheel kept locking making it awkward to push as it kept veering to the right so got in touch with company . Explained what was happening and they asked for video which I supplied so 2 weeks later they new wheel but once again the same thing happened but this time it is worse so once again I get in touch with them and once again they ask for video so sent it this time they said it would need new housing. I was not happy that they are just sending parts for my daughter to fix herself so asked for refund but they totally ignore the fact I asked for refund and send housing which has taken 15 days to arrive . What are my rights to refusing to do repair ( I don't think we should have to carry out repairs our selves ) and insist on refund . Any help would be much appreciated.

Which company are you dealing with? The manufacturer or retailer?

Stepping aside the issue of refunds I would have thought most people would rather keep a pram that has some problems and fit the replacement part in 2 weeks when it arrived than have to send the pram back and be without any pram for 3 weeks.
  • Purchased direct from infababy company . Why should we have to do repair ? After all you wouldn't by a t.v , fridge or washer then expect to do repairs yourself . The housing isn't that easy to replace , Wheel needs to be taken apart so if we get that wrong  then it will our fault and probably void guarantee .

Where are they based?  Are they a UK company?

Edit to add, I just googled.

Company House Registration and VAT Number
    Companies House No: 579074
    VAT No: 3408755JH
A quick look on CH UK but I cannot find them under that number and JH is not a suffix for a GB VAT number.

If you experience a problem with your product, simply email us at help@infababy.com and we will get the resolution process in motion. To help speed things up, when you email us please include your order number, a picture of the issue and your serial number. 95% of the time warranty claims are resolved with us sending you the part you need (free of charge) and we don't request the original part to be sent back to us. In some cases we may need to collect the part (if it's the chassis for example) and carry out a repair in our service center. If this is the case we will arrange the collection and re-delivery through our couriers and there will be no costs to you. We can also provide a loan product or part thereof whilst yours is in for repair.

As already explained, how inconvenient is it being 3 weeks without a TV -v- the same time without a pram?

As you've bought directly from an Irish company you would need to check what the irish consumer rights law is. In the UK after one failed repair you could reject the goods and receive a refund minus use to date but Irish law may be very different. Maybe check https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/consumer/consumer_laws/

What posters are saying is that it may be quicker to repair these parts as posted . As opposed to returning the item to Ireland etc .
Rights as said no UK rights as you did not buy from the UK .
