EA for property asked

We have put an offer on a property . After viewing. Advert said property back on market unexpectedly. The EA has been in contact and asked if we were going to have survey done. There is another offer on property but told lower. Thought question about survey odd.

Well you can ask the EA why the property is back on the market, and ask specifically if it's because the buyer previously pulled out due to the survey.
We on here can only hypothesise and come up with conjecture, they are the only ones who can tell you the answer!0 -
They probably know that the survey is going to reveal whatever spooked the previous potential buyer. If the other offer is not going to bother with a survey they may think that is the better offer.0

Was your offer accepted? How long ago did you make it?0

First offer put in yesterday morning. That was rejected in afternoon. We then upped offer. Call this morning from the EA, asked about our EA contact details. We supplied telephone numbers etc and other some other information. The property EA, then said as there was still another offer on table and would go back to vendor for decision . Then asked if we would have survey done. It was only after call wondered why ask that question.0

My friend is waiting for her chain to complete before having a survey done on her purchase, it does seems odd they've asked you this question. I was a cash buyer and still had a survey done, but I know some people don't.£216 saved 24 October 20140

Property was first put on market September last year. It is empty at present. We think vendor is looking for quick sale, due to previous buyer pulling out.0

If a previous buyer pulled out, you should ask the EA why.
The law requires the EA to tell you any material information which might influence your decision to purchase. As an example, a previous bad survey would probably count as material information.
(In fact, the law requires the EA to volunteer material information without you even asking - but it's best to ask anyway.)0 -
Ea contacted late afternoon. Reason given for being back on market is due to buyers onward purchase having stalled and at present not sure if they can proceed due legal problem with property that is wanted . So vendor put back on market and will give decision Monday if they will accept our offer. It seems now months gone by and nothing happening from vendors buyer.eddddy said:

I asked (through the ea) of the person buying my house was doing a full survey. Only because of timelines. The person I am buying from also asked me. Both keen to complete ASAP.0
