In 2000 I travelled to Oslo to resolve a vat issue for one of our customers. As a thank you. The Editor of Aftenposten took me and 3 others out to dinner. The bill came to £854.Albermarle said:
Yes that £900 would not go far in Norway . A good night out for three people would probably swallow half of it .Thrugelmir said:I'd opt for a LISA. At least keep your options open. As your ability to save is somewhat limited. Norway is an expensive place to live.1 -
£1200 in basic training but then tax, national insurance, payments for food etc for 3 months and then a pay rise I believe, but then you have to think that whilst you're in the army you won't have many outgoings unless you're sending money home so many people will be keeping the majority of their pay..If they're not silly with it that is. Depends how you view it I guess, but you have to go in with the mindset that you're not really going in for the money.Alistair31 said:The army pays £900 a month? It’s no wonder they struggle to recruit. Is that even legal?2 -
