Building Regs? Blocking an internal doorway

Options
Hi
Hoping for some advice! I'm planning on knocking through to create an open plan kitchen/dining room space on the ground floor of my property. The wall between the kitchen and living room is a load bearing wall, so I have the structural drawings for that and aware that I'll need building regs for that to be knocked through. I also want to block up the kitchen door, and wondering whether anyone knows if that would also require building regs? From the new open plan room there will still be access to the garden, and in fact one of the windows will be an additional door in the future. Any advice would be fab!
Thanks, Claire

building control will only charge you the same one off fee per "building alteration" as far as I know.
