Should I wait to sell?

I have a leasehold first floor maisonette which has a ground rent of £100 a year. The service charges though have increased though from £250 a year to £500. There are 88 years left on the lease. I am thinking of selling. Should I sell now though while prices are quite high in our area or wait till the leasehold reforms come in, extend my lease to 990 years and potentially get a better price in a couple of years time having moved in with my partner and rented the flat out for a while...I know that nobody has a crystal ball but I would be interested in getting people's thoughts! Thank you for any advice in advance!

If mortgage rates get pushed up by all the financial shenanigans that are going on just now you won`t get a better price in a couple of years, IMO.0

How long are you willing to wait for leasehold reforms?
Are you up for all the work that comes with becoming a landlord? A lot easier said than done.0 -

My understanding is that they were reasonably imminent.......I'm not sure about the landlord game. Haven't tried it!MaryNB said:How long are you willing to wait for leasehold reforms?
