Sold house still on rightmove

I completed on my house sale at the end of January, we are now in May and my house still shows on rightmove as sold stc
Seems strange the EA would still be paying for the listing 4 months following completion. Is this a promotional tactic e.g. to show off their sold houses?
I know this is a bit of a non thread but I can't believe it is still on rightmove being advertised as sold stc after all this time!

This happened where I lived in a city in NE England. There was some inter estate agent war of words as apparently one of them was keeping their SSTC houses on rightmove, zoopla etc and then advertising that they had sold the highest amount of houses that month according to rightmove, when infact some were sold a long time ago. Guess its a marketing tactic for anyone looking to sell their house.0

FWIW, Rightmove charge EAs a fixed monthly subscription per branch. They don't charge for each property listed. So they won't be paying anything extra to leave your property listed for 4 months.

Be thankful for small mercies!
Way back in the 1970s, EA gave me the keys of a house for sale to go and view on my own. When I got there I met with the new owners who had bought the place and moved in several weeks earlier! If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales8 -
