Incorrect cost for voucher taken from my bank

Hello all,
Hopefully you will be able to help me out..
A few days ago I made a payment for a voucher on a website. I noticed that this voucher which should have cost just over £1k cost £1 instead. Their website specified the correct price but the error must have happened when they sent the total charge amount to the vendor. I made payment and I have receive the voucher and voucher code via email. They have not noticed my transaction yet so my questions are:
If I use the voucher, can they request the remainder amount if I let them know about their website glitch?
Can they invalidate the voucher if I let them know before I use it?
I'm assuming (but could be wrong) that because there is no mention of a contract being formed between the consumer and business that the contract is formed once the goods have been delivered i.e. voucher has been delivered via email?
Thanks in advance :)

As it's an obvious error, they can chase up the balance at any time, or cancel the voucher.

Easiest to sort it out now, so you don't get hit with the bill a few months down the line.

Whether you let them know - or they notice it - they'll soon be chasing you for the other £999.

I think Jenni may well be right on this - it could well be a test payment to check valid payment details have been entered.

Was the £1 perhaps a test payment to prove that the account is live, and the balance will follow? (Or perhaps the £1 will be refunded and the £1k will be debited). A £1 debit is typical for validating payment details - the surprise is that they issued the voucher prior to claiming the full balance.
    I would say spot on..

So presumably on the payment screen it said the price was £1,000 and you authorised it?

In which case they have up to 6 months to put through the other £999. After 6 months and before 6 years you still owe the money but they cannot just take it from your card. There is a reasonable probability that it will just come out over the next couple of days but just ensure you keep the moneys there so it can go through when it needs to.

Thanks everyone. I've been in contact with the company and let them know of their mistake which they have now rectified on the website.
