Self employment fourth grant: Becoming a full time student and also possibly changing trade

Hi,
Slightly complicated so please bear with me.
Claimed the first three grants. Taxi driver, so income was obviously hit. Contracted Covid November, was quite ill and had symptoms until March, so didn't work.
So lost all income due to Covid during this latest claim period. That's fine...but.
I've just started a full time post graduate course with student loans to help with income. I'll obviously also need to work. I'm aiming to get back into some part time taxi work asap. I'm also considering some part time courier work possibly instead of taxi work - this isn't decided yet.
If I was to move into courier work instead of taxi, would I still be eligible for the fourth grant?
My accountant adds that I should be Ok as long as I have some self employment for 21/22.
Any views?
Thanks,
P.

SEISS 4 covers the period 1/2/21 to 30/4/21: when precisely did you start your PG course?
Did you submit your 19/20 return by the deadline of 2/3/21?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hi,
I started the PG course on May 1st.
My 19/20 return was submitted in time early January.
Thanks,

The course started after 30 April 2021 so is not a factor in reducing profits. You do have to declare, when claiming, that you intend to continue to trade in 2021/22, but it does not say that you have to intend to continue the same trade.1

l might continue to drive a taxi, but just wanted to be sure and keep my options open.
Thanks for the help.

I think the key is whether, at the time you made the declaration, you intended to continue to trade. If you, albeit part time around your studies, then I think you're fine. Maybe make sure you take a few fares in the next month or so even if you then switch to courier work or move to employment rather than self-employment?All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
