HP Envy 6010 Printer - problem!

My Canon printer wouldn’t feed the paper through although rollers going round. Seemed to be a fault after googling online.  So it was cheaper to go out and buy a new printer than buy a new part, not knowing if it would work even if we did that.  I bought the above and I’ve just about stopped myself throwing it out of the window!  I’ve downloaded HP Smart app as said to do on my iPad and tried to set it up but it keeps asking for a password to finish the set up. There isn’t one anywhere that I can see/find!  🤷‍♀️😫.  It states it’s Apple AirPrint compatible but it won’t print, won’t load and I’m just about to scream!  Husband has tried on his PC and it won’t print anything from my iPad unless I send it to him in an email via an HP email of some sort and even then it doesn’t always print.  Can anyone help me please?  Purchased from PC World as only place with printers and then only choice of a couple.  My Canon was so easy to set up and use 😟.  I have tried to contact HP Support but that’s like banging my head against a brick wall as can’t get any reply.  No I’m not going mad. I just want to be able to print items/labels from my iPad wherever I am in the house!  Thank you........to anyone who has gone through the same scenario and can help - as well as return my sanity! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Have you connected the printer to your Wifi/wireless at home?

(PS I hate printers).  If you have a BT router turn off SMART setup.  And restart it.  Got my ipad printing yesterday.

Could that be the Wi-Fi password?
If so try the WPS button/method.

OR it is looking for a Web-Based printing option, along with eprint etc.
HP ePrint is a free service from HP that allows you to print to your HP ePrint-enabled printer anytime, from any location. It's as simple as sending an email to the email address assigned to your printer when you enable Web Services on the printer. No special drivers or software are needed. If you can send an email, you can print from anywhere, using HP ePrint .

HAS IT/HAVE YOU inadvertently chosen the web-service?
Once you have signed up for an account on www.hpsmart.com, you can sign in to view your HP ePrint job status, manage your HP ePrint printer queue, control who can use your printer's HP ePrint email address to print, and get help for HP ePrint .

There will be 2 passwords needed during setup - which one is it asking for?
1. Your wifi password
2. Your HP account

Thanks for your welcome comments.  After spending 2.5hrs on the phone with HP Support and setting up as they were directing they came to the decision there is a fault with it and told me to return to PC World/Curry’s for a replacement! I haven’t done this as now away for a few days.  The password was a series of letters/numbers shown during one stage of set up.  I think I might give it another go and do as grumpycrab suggested and turn off the SmartHub as we have a BT router. Worth trying.....!
