Capital Gains Tax on overseas house

Hi, I don't know whether anyone can help. I bought a house in the US 20 years ago when I was married. I paid the deposit, mortgage since that time and all the legal fees associated with buying the house, as well as all the repairs. In the divorce, it was agree that we would sell the house and split any costs/profit 50 50. The house hasn't sold yet but I am gearing up for paying capital gains tax and using the government website calculator to look at various scenarios. I am based in the UK. My question is: in the box: How much did you pay for the property - do I put in the full amount I paid or do I put in half the amount I paid because I was married at the time? Many thanks.
