How to validate an inherent fault

Please can someone tell me how to get an independent expert to confirm a Mac Book Pro 2018 (which is in pristine condition) has an inherent fault? John Lewis will not accept liability to repair a key board and track pad that no longer works because it is just over 2 years old.

You simply need to get an engineer to write a report stating in their expert opinion what the cause of the failure is and assuming its not accidental damage, water ingress etc, if it is reasonable for such a failure to have occurred after 2 years given the nature of the item. Ideally the report should also confirm the likely cost of repairs and if its economical to repair.0

Apple have a service program for 2016-2018 MBP keyboard issues. They should replace for free if you go direct to them:

If you go a Genius bar- appointment needed- they will investigate and may change it for you free of charge.
if not, other on here have advised they have got a written report.0 -
Its a court that will decide ultimately, so, get a Mac authorized repairer to confirm, send it to JL. If no luck, LBA and then Moneyclaim.0
