EV charging at Tesco

Options
Hi just wanted to see if this signage is sufficient to appeal or not for a parking notice. I park and charge all over the country and all Restrictions a clearly marked at bays on this occasion it was not as result I received a charge for over staying my welcome . I’m quite happy to pay if you believe I should have looked into this further, I just wanted feedback to see as I’ve quite confidently navigated myself around the country reading the signs but on this occasion I believe I was misled ? Or was I . Look forward to your feedback.

Are you sure it was an overstay?  If that's your car, it looks more likely the charge was for (part) parking on the hatchings.

All parking charges are appealable - who has issued the charge, Horizon?

Interesting to note that there are no PPC contractual signs at all at the EV bays, so that is a fail.  A person stopping there can't be bound by any contract or be considered to have agreed to pay a parking charge.

But hey, if this is Horizon or APCOA or Highview,  none of them use the POFA 2012 in their NTKs so the keeper wins at POPLA, regardless of signs.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Actually it has a no parking sign. So it's impossible to see how one could charge a car and comply with the terms at all. Unless the o/p has-been ticketed for driving an ICE car.

Actually it's suppose to be a "No Waiting" sign but the red line should go from top left to bottom right.

@Castle Ah fair point. Its obviously a line infringement, but it's not obstructing any bay and, arguably, may have been necessary to avoid straining/stretching the cable.

I mean, I try to park close to the fuel pump when I park, not 2 feet from it. But that's just me.

I cannot see what useful purpose the hatchings serve,  the width of the spce seems very limited  If this is an out of space claim it  looks trivial to me, read this and complain to your MP.
