my personal belongings (which included £200 headphones, £200 football boots, house keys, clothes, trainers etc.)

Just think if it had been stolen, the thieves would have been able to burgle your house without breaking in!
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Your biggest issue from your list are the house keys.  You may have to consider changing your locks.  I would never leave keys oi the car or even anything that identifies me (such as a letter, bill etc.)
I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!

Indeed.  What's the bet that there are insurance documents with OP's address on them in the glove box, and that any built in sat nav also has his house pinpointed?
