That’s fab news!!They’ve come back asking for my bank statement from January until now and my life time isa annual statement from 2019-2020. They queried our deposit as it was showing as £3k short but we were waiting for the bonus to drop in. That’s finally came so sent my husbands & my statements off....my broker said if I got them to him ASAP then should have an offer on Monday. He said that before so starting to loosing faith that we will never get the offer. I’m worried they will decline us.... I hate waiting. We have been waiting over a month now0

Update - more documents needed.
Husband's bank statement
My 2018-2019 LISA
Husbands 2019-2020 LISA. I sent from 2018 when we opened them to save asking again.
Our broker advised they are a 5 working day turn around - It's so frustrating. I wish they would ask for a list of document initially rather than keep coming back as I could've sent them with the initial application.... I wonder how much longer it will take....0 -
It's incredibly frustrating but hang in there. We relieved our offer in the post on Weds so once approved that bit was quick.1

We are also still waiting and it's doing my head in! I also get frustrated with them coming back and asking for more documents and it then takes another week for an update. It's embarrassing too because the estate agent for the house we're buying is chasing me every week wanting to know where we're up to with the mortgage application. I was told by the broker last Wednesday that once we sent the latest document over that should be it and they would be instructing the valuation but I still haven't heard back yet. Apparently Vida had some technical issues at the end of last week 🙄🙄. Next week it will be 4 weeks since the application went in, I really hope there's no more delays...0

Our Application went in on 6th May. Our broker keeps saying should have an offer this week, they've promised... not sure if he's doing that to give us hope or whether it's Vida saying it. I spoke to the woman in the brokers office & they have no other applications with Vida at the moment- nothing to compare on how long it will take. Searches are taking 4-5 weeks anyways in my area then got enquiries. Just hoping we will receive the offer around the same time as the solicitors finish their stuff. Our valuation was done a while ago. They wanted to do it after the 1st week & all came back fine with that which was a relief as there was a problem with our first house which we ended up pulling out of..... Just praying it doesn't take much longer but I know they will probably have more questions on Friday again... so annoying but hopefully we will get there in the end

We received our mortgage offer today!!!!
Waiting for the paper work to be sent from our broker but he’s rang and confirmed they’ve offered. It’s taken us 6 weeks from when the application went in.
Stamp Duty is payable again from end of June. I spoke to our solicitor and highly unlikely we will make it now, meaning it will cost us £2,450 which sucks but nothing we can dobut at least we have someone who will lend us money for a mortgage

Congratulations! It's such a relief isn't it. I received my offer in the post in 3 days so that part is definitely quicker. Good luck with the rest of your journey. We are buying a new build that isn't ready yet but hoping for September so we can pay less stamp duty.1

It is definitely a relief. I was so worried & we even discussed what we would do if we didn’t get the mortgage. Thanks good to know, I assumed it would be all via email- hopefully we will have it Monday or Tuesday.
We looked at new builds but they jumped up loads recently to over £300k& the help to buy is only £250k max in our areabe lovely to move in and everything be brand new. It won’t be long & you’ll be in

Congratulations Walesgirl. I had bad news on Tuesday that the buyer at the bottom of our chain has pulled out of the sale and then yesterday got the call from my broker saying the underwriting had been done and the valuation on the house we're buying has been instructed. I should have been jumping up and down with glee but instead there's now a race for our buyer to find a new buyer asap. Our vendor isn't happy to say the least so I'm not sure how long he'll be prepared to wait but as thers no chain above him so I know he's in a hurry 🙄🙄1
