Paying off student loan with credit card

Apologies if this has been covered previously, but I've got a Plan 1 student loan which is going to be paid off fairly soon - it's around £3k and I pay £300 a month through direct debit.

I've saved up quite a lot this year by WFH through lockdown, and given there's less than a year left on it, I think I just want to pay it off and be done with it. I'm just wondering if there's a way to pay it off using my Capital One credit card (Mastercard) in order to gain the benefits of cashback? In particular:
  1. Can I make a payment directly using a credit card? Or
  2. Can I pay using a Curve card that is linked to my credit card?

I've heard that Curve sometimes charge fees for paying Council Tax etc using their cards, so wanted to know if anyone has any experience of this.

Thanks in advance for your help.
