Am I entitled to a refund?

Last year I booked a package holiday with EasyJet Holidays. This holiday could not be fulfilled, so I took credit and rebooked the holiday for this year, putting a minimum deposit down from the credit I had. This holiday was also cancelled and I was told I’d have a full refund. What I have now found out is that my original credit had a “use by” date on it for 12 months. I had been refunded the deposit as credit which also now has a 12 month life span.
I cannot book for next summer as the holidays are not available, however EasyJet say I must use the credit or lose it!
Does anyone know if I am entitled to a refund? I have read that credit/vouchers are protected by law but I’m unsure if my situation fits. I have e mailed EasyJet but they are sticking to their guns.

You opted for the voucher last year voluntarily.
This year's holiday has been cancelled and you are being refunded to the original source , in your case as another voucher valid for another 12 months, putting you back as you were .
Nothing wrong with what they didEx forum ambassador

I only paid the deposit prior to the holiday being cancelled so I have a small amount valid until next March, and some running out in June.

The website does not allow you to enter 2022 dates. I have tried today so don’t know whether it’s a site error or user error but I shall persevere0 -
Maybe the location you are looking for is not operating/not loaded for 2022 (another random holiday I checked showed till Sept 2022) - you should be able to scroll through the calendar rather than entering the date manually
Worth maybe trying a different browser (works in Chrome and Safari for me)1
