"You marked as paid" but I didn't

Hi.

I switched to Ebay managed payments and sold two items, but I've just noticed one now says "You marked as paid". I didn't. Only thing I've marked is dispatched.

It sold a few days ago and only just noticed that this morning, sure it didn't say it before.

Buyer bought the item (BIN) and paid straight away before I'd even seen it had sold so me marking it as paid wouldn't be possible. Payment was under processing and went to available when the item was dispatched and now says they have paid out so it seems to have all been processed fine.

I assume it makes no difference as I have payment, but I'm confused why it now says that. Has anyone else had this?

That's what I wondered. Maybe the payout triggered it?

Right now the seller section won't load for me on mobile or desktop so clearly issues somewhere.

eBay has always automatically marked things as paid for me once the buyer went through checkout. Doesn't matter if it was PayPal or now on managed payments, once the buyer paid it got marked as paid.
I think the wording might be unclear as it suggests you marked it as paid when it was automated?

I agree, I think the generic 'you' have marked this as paid is just ebay being lazy and using one payment message for everything. I can't see anything sinister or worrying in it at all.

Maybe, but it doesn’t state that on the other item which would suggest that hasn't been paid and it has. Both state buyer paid and the date. This extra line has only appeared today on one item, 3 days after they actually paid and a day after dispatch.

If you have the payment showing on the payment screen its probably not worth worrying about, just some weirdness making it look like you changed the status not eBay.

Probably. Was just curious if others had had the same happen.
