Any current thoughts or opinions about buying a new vehicle though AutoeBid?  They seem to good to be true.....

"Too good to be true" usually is.
But I'm not seeing anything inherently suspicious there. It's a marketing brand for a finance broker, Acorn Money Ltd.

I've not compared the prices, but they don't appear to be out of whack with the kind of discount you'd expect through a broker.

Did use it in the past but looking at the site it looks to have evolved since then

We certainly got a very good price on the car we wanted and much quicker delivery than any dealer we'd spoken to. Back in the day a reserve price was set and it was then a reverse auction. If the lowest bid was under the reserve you had to pay their fee irrespective of if you went on to buy the car. The reserve was set by the website or you could set a lower reserve if you could show a genuine uk quote (in which case reserve was set below this factoring in the fee etc).
