electrical installation condition report help

BACKTOBACK

i am privately rented. I do not have a electrical installation condition report. Landlord not interested. I asked the council for advice over a month ago and received a phone call back from them to say its not something they would get involved with. My house is very old, some bare wires and cracked plug sockets.

Personally I would put a written request to the landlord.
Dear Landlord,
Under the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector Regulations 2020, I was expecting to have had an electrician visit the property to carry out a test.
The legislation requires this to be in place from 1st April 2021.
I have concerns about some of he wiring and electrical sockets in the property. Please can you let me know when these repairs will be carried out and the full report provided.
I appreciate your swift response.Backtoback
Wait for a response and if the answer is no or is ignored take it from there via your local Council.
Council do have the powers to act . See3
