He mentioned posting on another forum as Lancashire Lad. Does anyone remember which forum that was?
  • Pompey Pete was also very helpful to me when planning a SE Asia trip. Maybe he just got fed up with the number of turnips on here who didn't get that travel is all about helping your fellow traveller on the road no matter what their views and personality because one day karma might tap on your shoulder and say your turn now pal.
It's like the feller who kept the New York forum going just disappeared one day.I often wonder why.
If you're reading this Pete old lad the open road beckons.
We'll be on it again soon.

Youre probably talking about M4RK on the new york section of this site, hes still knocking about on TA.

Personally i stopped posting on here as much due to, quite often, feeling like banging my head against the wall with posters, and life in general gets in the way its ashame in someway as this use to be quite the little community, some of us ended up being "friends" on fb and sharing our ups and downs on there

Yup its def strange in my world although im lucky that I still have a job and although def quieter, which makes me all the more hungry for when "normality" returns, life could be much worse, been very lucky dodging colleagues with covid too, which is another blessing.

Really cant wait to start travelling again missed out on NY, Japan and Paris last year but i know lots of people have been in much worse situs than losing some cash on some holidays.
