Speed awareness course (off topic)

A couple of months ago I was a bit too enthusiastic with the go faster pedal and was caught by a camera.

I  elected to take a Drivetech speed awareness course on line using teams,  this was was scheduled for last week. My son,  who uses Teams on a daily basis, did all the techie stuff for me so it should have been a walk in the park,

It was not. We tried three times to get on line, and even with the assistance of the company running the course on the telephone were unable to get connected.. I could see and hear the trainer, but she could nor see me.

Eventually we gave up and I am now down for a face to face course when/if they restart . Today I received a "do not reply" email asking me to rebook an online course. I telephone the company and was told that it was a computer generated email and I should ignore it  The telephone options included a help function which was most detaoled, obvious there are problems with the system.

I am unimpressed.  I pity the the great unwashed who have to set up a telephone hearing with a County Court..

    How fast?  Limit?

    What has your MP said?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

@D_P_Dance, it might be an idea to post on the Techie forum where you might get some answers around the technical issues of using TEAMS and not about the speed issue (cannot guarantee that though!)

Have you tried complaining to the land owner? She's very freindly apparently.

I pity the the great unwashed who have to set up a telephone hearing with a County Court.

I'm currently doing 2-3 remote hearings a week with clients (mostly non-parking related matters), by telephone and video using BT Meet Me, MS Teams and CVP. These are not rocket science, and you don't need a degree in Advanced Information Technology to get connected.

Those who do have trouble are the ones who haven't bothered to do a practice run the day before, to make sure their camera and microphone are working correctly. It really is simple Janet and John stuff.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

I am sure that it was not pilot error, my son uses teams a great deal for work.
