In response to powerful_Rogue (apologies, I see no way to @ multiple users in one reply on these forums), surely this circumstance would be an 'item unsuitable' return, rather than a 'change of mind', as the issue is that they didn't fit and there's no way I could have known this before receiving them and trying them on?

They didn't fit because you ordered the wrong size, not because they were sized incorrectly for size x feet.

I'd be very careful buying a load of clothes and returning the ones you don't like/don't fit, particularly with Amazon. They're well known to dump customers who have a high rate of returns.

I think the issue here is amazon being a money-grubbing multinational that puts profit above customer satisfaction
    No surprise there.
  • You can get them to call you back using the Customer Services link.  (Bottom of the Web page under Let Us Help You.  You'll have to wade through a few steps but eventually, they will offer to call you.  My returns issue was resolved on the spot after I sent proof of postage as a photo.

The OP has not been back on here since this thread was started 3 and half years ago, so it's unlikely your comment will be of much help to them.
