PVR or signal?

Same aeriel , cconnected to existing co-ax in room.
I thought that may be your answer! Originally one box and now two boxes connected to the same aerial.
Are you using a proper passive splitter?
Even if you are, you will get less than half of the original signal from the aerial to each set. To get the best results, a good quality double screened downlead should be used and ideally with no connectors (fly leads) between the aerial and the digital receiver. If you want to feed more than one room from your aerial, then a powered distribution amplifier is the best approach, with separate downleads to each. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

So Espresso, correct me if I'm wrong, but if I disconnect the old Matsui box, (and so reverting back to the original set up), and everything is fine, then I can assume that it is because I have 2 boxes onto one aeriel?
If that is the case , then i will try and understand the technical aspect of the bits you just mentioned!
As I am not clued up on aeriel terms I gather I should get a new lead from the aeriel and fit a powered amp/splitter then fit 2 new leads to the set top boxes? Any guess at the cost of this? Thanks for the help BTW.0 -
Where is the splitter? Is there a power socket nearby? Does it go wrong when you switch the second unit/TV on?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Errrrrr... never actually got as far as the splitter, all I know is there is an aeriel lead downstairs and one upstairs, I assume it's somewhere in the loft which has ceiling boards, so would involve a lot of dismantling. Have noticed it's fine at the moment with 2 boxes on though, has been for the last 2 hours.0
