DVD Recorder - will it work?

Hi,
I've just received a DVD recorder that will be given as a xmas gift. There's a sticker on the box which states that "The tuner in this product is only compatible with digital broadcasting".
The tv set it will be used with is analogue; there's also a Sky box connected which is no longer on contract (i.e. no payments are made to Sky) but which enables access to ITV2 etc. The DVD recorder has a built in Freeview decoder. We're in a Freeview area but I'm not sure if the aerial is up to the job or not. Will the Recorder be o.k. or is there a chance it won't receive the Freeview channels satisfactorily? Or even worse, nothing at all? Thanks.

Beg borrow or steal a freeview box and try it, you'll then know if you need an aerial upgrade.
If your DVD recorder has no analog tuner then you wont be able record off air without a suitable aerial.
You will be able to record directly off your Sky box via the scart interface.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
