First, open your deleted folder and making sure that all the mail is marked as read, then try emptying the folder.
then
Click on another folder other than the Deleted Items folder.
Right click Deleted Items folder or click Edit at top.
Click Empty 'Deleted Items' folder.
Repeat until the messages are all gone.
If that doesn't work, try running this program a couple of times, by repairing database0 -
I know this doesn't solve your problem, but you REALLY shouldn't be using windows mail, it's a very unstable and problematic piece of software, MS didn't want to make it too good because then you wouldn't need to buy outlook

I would suggest you switch to Mozilla Thunderbird, it's stable, feature rich yet easy to use and best of all, 100% FREE.0 -
It still won't empty

Do you think a virus would do that?Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Well several Vista users have reported that replacing Norton had actually solved their problem. looks like we'll have to take another tack
Try downloading and running this fix
Although it is for the outbox, apparently it appears to work for all other folders too0 -
Done the download, still no joy. Next is TIOATIOA...turn it off and turn it on again;)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
