Second survey?

To answer your main question, I don't see what value a second survey would add unless you question the accuracy of the first one?
In addition, re: your purchase in general, I would be open with the vendors (if you're not already) about your mortgage situation and communicate that if it goes beyond June 17th, you will have to reapply which will take a bit of time. That way, if that IS when Probate comes in, they are aware of your situation and should hopefully be happy to wait for you to get it sorted .. you've obviously waited patiently for them to sort out their side so i'm sure they will reciporocate.
Best of luck

Best of luckWe’ve been totally honest with them and thankfully they’ve been very understanding about it.We’ve been very open all along as to when it would expire, they even asked when probate was applied for if we’d be willing to wait. The house ticks every box for us and we’re in a rented property so we’re not in a mad rush to have to move out.0 -
From what you said, a second survey isn't required.
You'd have a second survey if you had reason to not be happy with the first, of the initial survey picked up something that could be serious, eg signs of subsidence, and advised to have a more in depth structural survey.
