Hi there, i am a bit confused. I have just had results come back from Land Mark Asset search and also for National Investments, but both came back as nothing found. But she has x3 pensions, scottish widows lump sum, and west midlands pension fund, and an Isa. Is there a reason why they wouldn't show up, on these searches. A bit confused, can any one help please. Thank you.

Personal data is not in the public domain. So, to get a 100% trace you would need every single financial firm, registrar, administrator and occupational pension scheme etc to be contacted by the tracing company. That just isn't feasible.

LandMark say they include the below as well as a whole bunch of other stuff so I wonder why the Scottish Widows pension wasn't picked up (Personal Pensions) and the West Midlands one (Occupational Pension)?Did the search include all variants of your Aunt's name and was the Occupational Pension search option ordered?
- Personal Pensions
- Life Policies
- Occupational Pensions via DWP (if requested at the point of order)
- Unit Trusts & Investment Trusts
