Diesel car claims

I’ve just seen on the tv, an advert for making a claim if you are a diesel owner etc. I checked out the website and I got the criteria but after reading the terms & conditions it says they take approximately 50% in the event of your successful claim which they make on your behalf.
I’m not sure about this so I’m asking if anyone has any advice or information about it and have they put in a claim themselves?
Many thanks
Carole

    What is your loss?

When did you buy the car, relative to the September 2015 publicity for "dieselgate"?
When did you sell it, relative to that date?

Make the claim yourself, it will be faster and you could get 100% of your losses back.
    What are your losses though?

This claim culture is one import from the US I'm certainly not fond of.
OP if you can show you were mislead into buying a diesel because of the NOX immissions levels then go ahead and make a claim.
I've got a 2009 VW Eos diesel. I purchased it because at the time we were doing regular long runs and had a decent commute so I certainly can't say it was purchased because of the NOX emissions data and won't be joining any claims.  I'm doing much shorter runs now so my plan is to probably buy a small cheap petrol car and keep the EOS for trips/longer runs.
