Looking for some advice regarding a DoV. It's a straightforward case where one of two equal beneficiaries want his inheritance to bypass him and go directly to his own two children (the deceased's grandchildren). IIUC the other beneficiary does not need to be involved in any way as her position is not affected by the DoV?…

Can a witness to the DoV be one of the "new beneficiaries" under that DoV, or is it the same rule as for wills? (ie a person benefiting under the DoV can't witness it?).

And presumably a witness to a will can still benefit from a subsequent DoV?

Just curious...
