Outdoor porcelain tiles

I'm about to have a new patio laid and I'm thinking about porcelain tiles.
Just wondering if anyone has any regrets laying porcelain tiles outside? I'm reading lots of things that say how wonderful they are but would like to hear someone's first had experience. We have porcelain down stairs and they are as slippy as hell when wet! Just wondering if outdoor ones are the same?
Thanks

Dunno. Mine have just been sitting outside in a pile for a month... it appears that they don't lay themselves.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

They seem really grippy, so much that I am wondering if they are too grippy

We are having the same dilemma between buying stone or porcelain. I’ve read porcelain are quite non-slip. I like the look of stone more but the possibility of the kids spilling something and leaving it for me to find hours later, staining the slab, doesn’t fill me with joy.0

Are they glossy? Because I doubt outdoor tiles will be.Ours inside are glossy, that's why I'm wondering about anyone's experience of them outdoors.0
