There is no management company , any work we needed I.e. complete refurb on the outside was split between the 4 flat owners . Looking into buying the freehold ( which is now with the crown )  companies do give mortgages on leasehold property as long as there is more than 85 years on it . Our flat has 115 years left .

You keep avoiding the key questions. They are:
    1. Did you agree to their 'pay later' option?
    2. Did you withdraw your property from the market?

If the answer to both those questions is "yes", the the contract which you agreed to says you have to pay purplebricks.

(If you're unhappy about that, you shouldn't have agreed to the contract terms at the outset. It's too late to try to change the contract terms now.)

It's only what the contract says that is important. Nothing else you've said in the thread appears to be relevant to the contract.

The fee is for the work involved in marketing your property- photographs, video, preparing advert, paying for listing online, handling enquiries. All that has to be paid for.
They has done that work so the fee is due, either when you book or 10 months later if the property has not sold , or if any of the conditions above occur.
You are  paying for the work they have done so far.
That fee does not cover the costs of  conveyancing.

I am not avoiding answering any questions .
I did opt for pay later .
I had to take the property off the site as they told me that they could not sell my property and wanted me to wait 3 months before re- advertising it ( which I did not agree to ) even though there were 23 people waiting to view .

OP - look at it this way.
Where in the contract that you agreed to with Purple Bricks does it give you the right to cancel the contract without paying a fee if they cancel viewings?

Ok - so let's go back round again...

    • Ask them why they believe you owe them £999.99
    • If they say "because you withdrew the property from the market", reply with "I did not withdraw the property from the market, I want you to continue marketing it."

But it is purplebricks who will be subject to prosecution if they fail to disclose material facts to prospective viewers about the property (e.g. the freehold situation). So to a great extent, you have to let them decide what they say to prospective buyers to protect themselves from prosecution, and/or from having to pay prospective buyers compensation.

(But eventually you will have to pay purplebricks £999.99, whether they sell your flat or not.)

Not sure if it dies , but they did not sell my flat and nowhere does it tell you that by signing up they are actually signing a credit agreement with a separate company called Close Bros . The partnership with Close Bros means that Purplebricks effectively hands over a key part of the customer relationship- the payment collection- which some people felt was misleading . Found this info on Watchdog website .

You keep trying to introduce random stuff which isn't relevant to your dispute over £999.99.

FWIW, you haven't got a credit agreement with Close Brothers. You've been reading out of date information.

No. Just to be clear you don't have a credit agreement (or any other agreement) with Duologi either.

According to that article, purplebricks have a contractual agreement with Duologi.  You are not party to that agreement - essentially, it is nothing to do with you.

Your only contractual agreement is with purplebricks.

Yopa and purple bricks have the fee paid to them from day 1 of marketing.  A customer then owes Duologi the fees.  They have in fact created a credit agreement between themselves without the customers knowledge or permission.  Yopa then close any complaints made about poor service because they have had the fees.  They are rogue cowboys. This needs to be addressed by all customers because they do not tell that this is happening.  Just pay later on t & cs
