If you're heading out to vote in various elections across England, Scotland and Wales today you don't need to bring your polling card or ID - but you will need to bring a pen or pencil and wear a face covering...

More incorrect advice.
You do not NEED to take a pen or pencil.
You are advised to take one, but they will be available in polling stations and they will be used just once.0 -
- but you will need to bring a pen or pencil >. NO plenty of pencils in the booths .How is this a Consumer Right ??0

Use a pen (ballpoint preferably) too, take one with you. No way use a pencil, that's not recommended - just saying!Polling card, not received one. Fortunately, not required. Never has been to my knowledge."wear a face covering" not if exempt.

daveyjp - The story does explain that: you should bring a pen or pencil if you can but polling stations should have spares.
JJ_Egan - my thinking is that it's a consumer right to be able to vote. Happy to move to a different board though if you have a better suggestion?
Thanks

Plenty of pencils available at my polling station. I imagine they sanitise them every few hours. Whatever the story says your OP says "but you will need to bring a pen or pencil " and it is manifestly not true. Why seek to explain it?0
