Vanguard lifestrategy and FTSE ?

Although the FTSE 100 went up about 120 pts yesterday I noticed the Vanguard lifestrategy 60 fund went down last night,I thought these funds had a lot of UK equities in them,or does yesterday's price movements come into tonight's fund price.

What do you define as 'a lot' of uk equities?

The equity portion of VLS 60 is ~25% UK equities (which is overweight w.r.t a 'pure' global equities tracker).
So overall only 15% of VLS is UK equities, 85% is invested elsewhere.

The FTSE100 is just UK large cap. It doesn't include mid cap or small cap.
VLS60 only contains an All share fund.  And only 15% of VLS60 is in UK equity.  85% is elsewhere.

The real economy is somewhat depressed. Despite the buoyancy of the stock markets in recent months. Bounce back will fade soon enough.

Todays' upbeat news about encouraging forecasts for the economy doesn't necessarily signify a similarly positive outlook for equity markets....
