    i love M&S too :)

personally i find the £5 t shirts (3 for £10 i think) are great and wash well, per una has some gorgeous stuff (and great sales). food-wise the cava is good and i buy the fair trade tea bags as they are very reasonable. i have £65 of m&s vouchers from my engagement and am going to buy bedding in the jan sale.

the outstanding value towels are also good, 3 bales for £15 at the moment, which i think is great value!

At the moment for Christmas M&S are doing 3 bottles of Bucks Fizz for £6, there is also a lesser known Pomegranate and Raspberry Fizz that is also 3 bottles for £6 which is delicious. They may be doing tasting in a store near you. If you buy 6 bottles of any alcohol then you get an extra 5% off.

There are outstanding value items in a lot of ranges now, I have the set of 3 stainless steel saucepans for £9.50 which have been fine for me. I got them when they were doing a 20% off all homeware (and bear in mind that I also get an extra 20% off most items for being staff) so I got a really good deal I think.
There are a lot of birthday cards that are still £1 each and there are some that are 50p.

M&S chickens are currently on offer "half price" and they are superb. I usually fill my freezer when this offer is on.

I just made a visit to M&S as we have about £10 in vouchers to spend. Unfortunately it was only the chickens with a funny coating or stuffing that were on offer. I just wanted plain and boring whole chickens. Oh well.

Last year I bought a selection of their glass 'bubble' tumblers in the homeware section for 50p each. They still look good. They also had small glass vases for £2.

As this thread isn't specific to Old Style, I've moved it over to the Shop but Don't drop board to see if you can get more replies.

  • M & S is expensive and some of the things are much nicer than the stuff you get in other shops

the Oakham chicken is very nice and cooks well

the organic blueberry yoghurt is lovely (could eat it all day)

often they have had half price food offers which have been great but i think they have suspended these to make as much money as possible out of christmas.
