Online/Phone Clothing Purchase

Hi
Sorry for the long post but I purchased 5 items of ladies clothing from a Clothing Store Live on Facebook. The clothing arrived but 3 items didn't fit so I returned for a refund. The store owner phoned me on what's app video to try to get me to exchange for other items in the store, he showed me some other items which I said looked ok, I asked for approx measurements to check they would fit and he sent out 3 other items. I received them yesterday and only 1 fits right. I have contacted the owner via what's app today and he said there is nothing he can do as he showed me the items in his store and measured them so basically I am stuck with 2 clothing items (£50) that I won't wear. Is he correct in refusing the return as it's a lot of money to loose. Thank you Mel

He's not correct if you're within 14 days of receipt but you'll probably have problems if you bought from Facebook and not a proper retailer, or was it from a proper retailer who happened to advertise on Facebook?1

He is a proper retailer, with a retail shop that does live sales each week on Facebook. The parcel was delivered yesterday so within 14 days but how do I persuade him that he is wrong especially with him exchanging once already?

Tell him to read the consumer rights legislation. It's all there. He's not much of a retailer if he doesn't understand your rights with online sales.

Thank you so much for your help, could you point me in the direction of this information. If he is not interested in that, is there anything else I can do? I purchased the original items with my credit card, would they help or because they have been exchanged would it not count as a purchase?0

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) 2013, or CCRs for short:
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/contents/made
Your credit card company will not help if the total purchase was below £100, if it was over you could make a Section 75 claim.
Also, I would air your concerns on their FB page if this is how they like to do business.1
