I'm based in England. If an estate is over the IHT threshold i.e taxable would I need to get a RICS valuation for the house or would three estate agent's valuations do?
Also, I have located a will written back in 1994 using a DIY will kit. I think it's valid but it has myself and a solicitor my father used back in 1994 as executors. How easy would it be to get them to fill in a PA15 renunciation form so I can do this myself as I've done this previously with another estate? It looks like my father didn't inform the solicitor that he'd made him executor and hasn't used him since 1994.
TIA
