Advice on dealing with DCBL and Private Parking Co.

Having read the newbies thread, I'm still unsure how to take this forward.
I know not to post specifics so I won't. Multiple letters have been sent from the Debt Collectors requesting I pay for not displaying my permit when parking in my own residential bay. These alleged incidents happened over a few years ago. I think at the time the registered keepers address was wrong so it wasn't received. However, I have since paid a fine (begrudgingly) a couple of years ago, when the registered keepers address was updated. So why didn't they tell me then about the outstanding charges? I've checked the tenancy agreement and it states: 15.1. To park a private vehicle only at the Premises.
15.2. To park in the car parking space, garage or driveway allocated to the Premises, if applicable.
None of which say a permit is required and the car was parked in its allocated bay (the only vehicle that is allowed to be parked in that bay).
Any advice would be hugely appreciated as it seems ludicrous to pay for a charge that occurred years ago for a spot that the car is supposed to be parked in.

Does it give you primacy of contract?  Have you complained to your MP?

    Name of parking company ?

    Which country ?

Parking companies have 6 years to issue a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton , using MCOL

Is the latest letter an LBC giving 30 days notice ?

Yes I've read that but I'm still not sure where I stand. It's in the UK from Solutions Lab Ltd. on behalf of Regent Parking. The letter is not an LBC it's from the Debt Collectors stating if I don't pay then they'll advise their client to take legal action.

So what?  See post #4 of the NEWBIES thread and come back if they try a court claim.

If they are writing to the wrong address, tell them the right one NOW.

Keep all letters and no panicking and paying any more!

Which one is post four? I couldn't make sense of it, sorry...
I could send them it, though what I'm confused by is they fined me a year later, which I paid so they have my address they just chose not to tell me about the previous fines and sent a Debt Collectors letter.

Scroll down to the fourth post about debt collectors and read it

Do not blame us for the lack of numbering , mse forum had numbers until 15  months ago , all complaints since have fallen on deaf ears

You wanted to know where you stand ? At the ignoring debt collectors stage

It's an unregulated industry , so do not try to understand why they do what they do , they won't tell you or us

There is no need to 'look it up'. It's the 4th post on that thread, just as this is the 11th post on  this thread.
