Amazon promotional credit not easy to spend

Took the Amazon photo offer and gained £7 promo credit. T&c stated applies only to items sold by Amazon on Amazon.co.uk over £25. Found something needed and promo credit didn’t add. Contacted Amazon CS. So the item is over £25✅ The item is listed on Amazon.co.U.K.✅ however the seller is Amazon EU ❌ CS just said Amazon EU is classed as a third party seller on .co.uk site so promo credit not eligible. I showed that the t&c clearly stated Amazon as the seller but doesn’t stipulate Amazon UK, only that the purchase must be made through .co.Uk site. But they stand firm although agreed that the t&c should be worded better. So promo credit now expired and a waste.

I usually filter the seller to only amazon.co.uk when I have promo credit - much easier to find things eligible. Worth checking the prices for other sellers before hitting 'buy' though.
Shame customer service weren't more helpful, but most of the free credit I've got has been very easy to get (making a wishlist, downloading then deleting the app for example) so it's not a great loss to me if its not used.

Agreed. Had to purchase the item and was cheaper than other sellers. Let’s see how Amazon manage the EU to U.K. selling with customs and charges. A few people I know have purchased sportswear from EU websites and have been hit with large bills by the courier firms to release the items. VAT, import duty and handling adding almost £50 to a £150 order.
more for me was that the t&c didn’t stipulate Amazon U.K. just Amazon as the required seller.0 -

I signed up for both Amazon Image cloud and the App, but can’t find any trace of the promo credit on my account and nothing’s been deducted from any of my recent purchases. Any thoughts welcome!0
