I bought a new comuter a couple of months back, but had misplaced my ipod, so started a new catalogue of tunes on itunes. I now want to update my ipod with the new tunes whilst still keeping all the old tunes on my ipod - is this possible - many thanks

You could use a program like Anapod ([SIZE=-1]www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/) or similar to let you explore the ipod and copy all your tunes back to the PC. Once you've done that, add them to your itunes library and then resync and the world should be the molusc of choice.
Cheers
