  • @milann - I'm not sure - I hope so - I have just gone on reviews with this particular make - it's called Friar. A lot of the popular dark chocolate is naturally vegan but DD doesn't like it - only milk and we have found much of the vegan 'milk' chocolate underwhelming- it's a bit like vegan cheese!  We did find a lovely plant based chocolatier in York the time before when I was up there and these chocolates were really nice. Unfortunately when I tried to sneak over there on Monday the shop was closed and they don't offer an online service. DD does partake of Lindt milk chocolate though  - either the chocs or block.

Not much went on today - for some reason I slept heavily and woke up rather late which put me out a bit for the day. I've just pottered, spoke to some friends on the phone and watched my yearly viewing of 'White Christmas' and also the latest episode of 'And Just Like That' which seems to have got a bit better after the rather awkward first episode.

  • Another quiet couple of days - the weather has been rather gloomy and cold here in Seasideville. 🌫
I met up with my friend I used to work with at a local cafe yesterday. We sat outside as she was nervous of sitting in the crowded cafe. It wasn't too bad for at least we were near a heater - had a veggie sausage flatbread sandwich and a mulled wine.

I've been trying to get some LFTs but no luck at all round here.

My last Waitrose shop until I get back from Scotland in the New Year arrived last night. Not really much of a shop apart from some bubbly for Christmas that was on offer.

I still have a couple of presents to wrap up but I'll finish these off tomorrow.

Apart from budgeted things I put some cash over to DSis's account as she is buying some Christmas arrangements to place on our Mum and Dad's grave, plus I made a donation to our local homeless charity and bought some birthday cards for friends' birthdays early in the New Year.

And I won another lucky dip last night on the lotto! 👍

  • I ended going out first thing this morning hunting for LFTs!  I woke up to a text from DD's stepson to say he had tested positive for Covid yesterday. It has been over week since I last saw him but thought I'd better get checked out. I did manage to get a box of tests from a local pharmacy this morning and thankfully tested negative. I'm going to do another tomorrow to make sure. I cancelled my lunch I was due to have with a friend in London today just in case I couldn't get any tests. If I'm ok we'll try for lunch again on Thursday.

I bought a Senior Rover train ticket last night for my trip today which I cancelled!  £10 down the drain as I can't use it for another day!
