Hi all,
We booked return flights from Varna to Manchester on the 22 August 2020 directly with BH Air. Sometime in the summer the flight was cancelled by them (around June I believe). We are yet to recieve a refund for the flight despite chasing it multiple times. The last time we contacted them was early February and we were informed refunds process was about to be restarted "ASAP" on the 8th of February. They had previously stated it was delayed due to backlog (September 2020), then claimed the refund process had been paused (Decemeber 2020) and then it was going to be restarted (February 2021).
I have written to them to confirm I will initiate small claims court proceedings to recliam my money on the 31st May if I haven't recieved my refund before this date.
Just looking for some advise with regards to having to take the legal route. Obviously it should easily be found in my favour, but is there anything I should have prepared details wise, beyond bank statements, a timeline of communication and events etc?

Did you pay by credit card? Maybe a claim under section 75 might be successful in this instance? Alternatively if you had appropriate insurance cover? If neither applies then legal action might be your only option. Just don’t expect a quick or easy resolution!

I'd make sure that the court has jurisdiction against a Bulgarian company. Do they have a company presence in the UK?

BH Air is Bulgarian. The rule of law does not pertain in Bulgaria, so forget it.
You need to pursue other routes eg s75 CCA or charge back.0 -
Thanks for the advice, I'll read up!0
