    Going to need more details...
Assuming this is a normal Pre-Pay meter with electricity supplied by one of the energy companies...
If you have just moved in do please contact the supplier, open your own account and request a n new key/card/PIN etc. never top-up using a key/card handed to you by the landlord or the previous tenant otherwise you will find yourself paying off their debts along with your own usage...
If this is a private sub-meter operated by your landlord then things are different, but in both case learn to read the meter and work or how many kWh you are using and discover what the price is per kWh.
Assuming this is an all electric property with no gas then check the most likely high-use items like electric heating and hot water system, if you have left your immersion heater on all the time then it can easily eat through your money very quickly...

Eelctric only including heating? Prefectly reasonable at the moment. Expect doublt that is the depths of winter adn a lot lesss in the summer.
Of course you do not mention house size of occupants. So roll the die ;-)

3 bed/2 occupant here. Around £130 a month gas/electric. Would expect £200 (average over the year not spend) if no gas. Or course I am a self copnfessed high user. I like heat. At least it's £30 lower than with an electric shower in my previous place!
