blimey, tad wet and windy here today!!!! Not looking forward to walking the dog in a bit.

Supposed to be having my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow. It will cost about £90........I'm wondering whether to cancel it, colour it myself and wait another month before having it cut.

  • when was the last time you had it done??? Will waiting a month save you any money? Can you afford it?

Morning everyone quite a nice day down here.

Not much planned today, hopefully a lazy NSD for me.

I have stopped having my hair coloured, I used to spend £90 every 5 weeks and just can't justify it now really. Although nothing nicer than the feeling when you first come out of the hairdressers.

  • I had the highlights done in July. I've had it cut once since then (just before the Blackpool meet in September).

It doesn't look 'horrendous' as my natural colour is only slightly darker than the highlights now they have faded - but there are now nearly 5 months growth on the roots and a small smattering of grey hairs that have suddenly appeared at the front when I pull it in different directions in the mirror.

It won't save me any money having it done in a month but I spent £20 on a set of Christmas lights this week as well as £12 on a top yesterday. I can afford it, but I'm having trouble justifying it - MSE is too in-grained in me now!!!!!!

The only night out I've got is Wednesday at this meal I've booked (no word at all from the OH as to whether he is going to come along or kick up a fuss at the last moment) and I work from home, so there's only me 'in the office' to see how I look.

I used to dye my hair regularly years ago but didn't do it for a couple of years and then took the decision to have the highlights - I knew I'd be starting off something I needed to keep up!!!!!

I've looked up the home highlight kits like the Clairol one and I'm not sure I could do it on my own as myhair is very long now and I haven't anyone to ask to put it on for me.

I could dye it but Ijust fancied it a few different colours rather than a 'block' of colour..............not sure.......I'll think about it whilst out with the dog - it's stopped raining. The hairdresser is a 'cheap' one, but she cuts and colours it really well - it would be around £130 if I went into town. Ouch!!!

well, the £200 will go straight off the debt, so good news there.

The usb thing is not something that I would have gone out and bought, but with the children's skiing taking us all over the country and all over europe, it could be a way of me keeping myself amused by taking my laptop while they are skiing at some unearthly time of the morning! So, although I could prob sell it on ebay, it is so so rare for me to win anything, I am quite tempted to keep it as a Christmas present to myself :o
