Boiler/Room Programmer/Thermostat - Honeywell T4 or Danfoss TPOne?

We're in need of a programmable thermostat for our soon to be fitted new cental heating boiler and have been given the option of either a hard wired Honeywell T4 or Danfoss TPOne by our installer to replace our existing hard wired basic Honeywell thermostat.

I've seen a couple of demonstrations of each on YouTube and both look to be pretty straightforward after the initial programming.  I wonder if anyone has any personal experience of either or has done a similar comparison?  Any feedback greatly appreciated.

What features do you want in a thermostat?
Do you want an app and wireless connectivity, geo-fencing, a stat that learns your routine.

I fit a lot of Nest stats and have one myself. I have had no complaints on those.

Just basic on/off and temperature.  No need for an app.

    Hi YT.
They'll both do the job well.
Differences at this level comes down to 'human interface' - how easy it is to program, alter, understand. I've no experience of either of these models, and both look as tho' they have decent displays. The things that I have found pleasing/annoying with prog stats is how easy is it to override the current setting, such as turning it up or down a degree or so. This should be doable in a couple of clicks, instinctively, and without having to scratch yer 'ead. (The Hive is superb because of this, for example).
The Hive also shows both the 'target' temp and the 'actual' temp on the same display - again brilliant; it's what you want to know.
So have a read through both sets of instructions and see if one ticks more boxes than t'other

Thanks for your input JC.  I very much agree with what you say.  We currently have the boiler come on at 06:00 and off at 22:00.  Work from home so in all day.  Set the temperature to 16 deg when we go to bed then turn it up to 20 - 22 deg during the day as required so the ease of override (from 16 to 20/22) is important.
