Barclaycard reintroducing money transfers

Just had a message from Barclaycard, with new money transfer offers:

Hello Stephen

Being a Barclaycard customer has its benefits. And this May we've two offers for you.

We're relaunching money transfers – just look below to see what's available. Money transfers are useful for those times when only cash will do, like when you need to pay a plumber or an unexpected bill. Our offer means you could have cash in your current account the next working day.*

12 months 0%, 2.6% fee.

I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

I've had no offers, balance or money, since this time last year, although I fortunately don't need any at the moment.

Neither have I had my limits reduced though.

Mine dried up a little while ago and balance transfers about 2 months go. However I have some good offers with Nationwide, Halifax and Lloyds.

My BC balance transfer offers never went away, but this is the first money transfer offer I've ssen in a while. They are indeed personalised, mine's 2.6% fee, 0% for 18 months.
  • Barclays appear to want to discourage me from using them, 3.4% for 0% over 2 years (technically 23 months by the looks of it), that has gone up, 18 months with 3.1% fee here!
