Utilita smartmeter switch
Hello,
I'm a customer of Utilita energy and have them coming to switch my meters from prepay to smart prepay this week.
How soon after the new meters are installed can I switch to a new supplier. I have found at least 2 who are much cheaper for me on prepay smart.
Any help appreciated

What type of meter is Utilita fitting? There were in a battle with Ofgem a couple of months ago as they were still fitting SMETS1 meters. If it is a SMETS1 meter, then it will probably go dumb if you switch.mrchimps said:Hello,

To answer your specific question, your new meter will be fully commissioned when you receive a message saying something like ‘ESME commissioning complete’ on your IHD. It can take a couple of weeks for the National Database to be updated with your new serial number.0 -
No idea at the moment, just said smart meters.
Many thanks for the link. Will have a read
