Euro Car Parks - Parking Charge

Hello.
I have read the newbie post but I'm struggling to understand what I need to do. Sorry but I am terrible at these types of things and there is so much information I'm not sure what is applicable to me or not so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Brief summary of what's happened:
I received a parking charge notice from Euro Car Parks for over staying a 2hr free customer car park at Morrisons in Leeds on the 6th December 2020. The car park has a system whereby your car park ticket is refunded at the Morrisons checkout if you've spent over a certain amount.
At the checkout I asked for the refund of my parking ticket but there was what seemed like a very young new starter on the till and they didn't know what to do. They politely asked me to go to the customer services desk once I paid for my shopping to get my parking refund.
I queued up at said desk which doubles up as the tobacco, lottery ticket area. I was still within my 2 hour free period at this point. Unfortunately, an elderly person seemed to be having some kind of episode towards the front of a long queue. I am volunteer at a charity for the elderly so I went forward to help this individual who was very confused and upset but seemed medically fine. A young Morrisons chap went to find a colleague to help. I stood with the elderly chap and engaged him in conversation to calm him down until help arrived. All the while I was stood out of the queue and letting people in the queue in front of me while we waited.
When help did arrive and the elderly chap seemed a lot happier and had support I re-joined the queue and got the refund for my parking ticket and return to my car.
A couple of weeks later I receive the PCN having over stayed the 2 hours free parking by about 15 mins.
Having never had a PCN I asked a friend who advised to ignore the letters and said they will go away. Two or three further letters arrived which I ignored.
I now have one Debt Recovery Plus about 3 weeks ago and now one from a Zennith Collections so I did some internet searching and ended up here looking for help. The most recent letter from Zennith offers to reduce the charge to £135 from £155 if possible within 14 days.
As this was all months ago I no longer have the shopping receipt, car park ticket or most of the Euro Car Parks letters other than the most recent ones.
From reading the newbies thread I now realise that I should have kept all of these and complained to the store manager when I received the first letter.
At this advanced stage can anyone please advise on the best course of action to take at this point?
Many thanks in advance, Danny.

You tell a very heart-warming story and I am sure, if you relate this to a MANAGER not a customer service rep in store and politely but firmly request a cancellation, you will receive one.

Firstly choose a friend that knows more about parking! It's not too late to complain to Morrisons about this but you need to start higher up the management tree.Debt collectors CAN be ignored though they are useless idiots in this scam industry, and Debt Recovery Plus/Zenith are the same company. They have reduced their portion of the scam to try to screw you for anything before they give up.You have now realised you don't throw away anything to do with a parking scam you need to keep it all for six years which is how long the scammers have to initiate a punt in court.5

Firstly , your friend is not a friend , they are a moron who cannot be trusted !!Secondly , you are at the debt collector letter stage , so ignore drp and zenith (same company) , as post 4 of the newbies FAQ sticky thread tells you to do , to ignore debt collectors !! ( But not a parking company )
Email the CEO David Potts at Morrisons with your take of woe and add the PCN reference , plus your VRM details (number plate) plus name and address and ask them to cancel the PCN , this is plan A in the newbies FAQ sticky thread. Also complain to the store manager at that store , not the cleaner !!
Then report back to us with the results
Do not contact the debt collectors !! No phone , no email , no letters
Morrison will cancel the PCN
In future , check on here if you get my more PCN s , do not ask people who are ignorant of the topic
ALWAYS keep receipts and paperwork for several months

Thanks for the advice and to those who replied without being rude.Followed your advice and emailed the CEO. Received a reply today saying that they would cancel the PCN.
Many thanks once again.2 -
It is not cancelled until the parking scammers say it is cancelled. Keep that email safe, and follow up with the CEO if you get any more grief from the scammers or their agents.
Please keep us updated, and tell your ex friend she/he is nearly nine years out of date with their advice.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Well done! So you were not ''terrible at these type of things'' after all and you beat a scam PCN.
What a damning indictment of ANPR enforcement, that takes zero notice of personal situations faced by shoppers and the industry still generally refuse any appeals for mitigating circumstances unless a landowner/retailer tells them to cancel it:I received a parking charge notice from Euro Car Parks for over staying a 2hr free customer car park at Morrisons in Leeds on the 6th December 2020. PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above , well done
Reminds me of one we had on here with parking eye at Manchester royal , where somebody took a patient in , was asked to assist the medical staff , then got a PCN for their trouble , probably for overstaying in a drop off point , no flexibility !!
After some considerable complaining to PALS and to the trust , it was eventually cancelled0
