Sending to Unconfirmed Paypal Address

Hi all
5 days ago I sold a digital camera on ebay for £150, and received an immediate paypal payment from a buyer with 17 100% positive feedback (all low value < £15 items from 42 sellers!). However his paypal address is not confirmed and therefore I am not eligible for Seller Protection Policy. I contacted him via e-mail to try and verify his identity (providing my phone number and also trying to obtain his phone number), and also searched directory enquiries and electoral rolls to no avail. I requested user information through ebay and phoned him but no one answered on several occasions.
I advised him through e-mail that I would only send the digital camera only after the paypal funds are transferred to my bank account, and he did not seem to have a problem with that (because he did not reply). As of today the money is already in my bank account, do you think that I can send the digital camera? In the unlikely event that he used a fraudulent card or initiate a chargeback, can Paypal take the money directly from my bank account? I have set up direct debit with paypal and then cancelled it.
Many thanks for your help.

Unfortunately if a buyer uses a fraudulent card it doesn't matter whether or not they are verified (others please correct me if I'm wrong here!)
The seller protection is not actually that useful, so I am happy to send to any paypal address, verified or otherwise but I do cover myself either with a COP (so I can get a refund from the PO for non delivery) or for larger items special delivery with the correct amount of insurance. The most common problem with paypal seems to be claims by buyers for non receipt, so you must either have a signed for method of postage, or else cover yourself for the loss with a COP.
You should not wait too long to send an item, after 7 days a buyer can start a chargeback against you for non delivery. Also as a buyer if I pay by paypal I would expect my item within a week and might reflect a longer delay in the feedback I leave.

I agree with Soolin, I can see that you're trying to be careful but I would be pretty annoyed If I'd paid by paypal then had to wait ages for the money to arrive in your account. It can take over a week! In one case, I waited 9 days to get my cash into the bank. Paypal is an instant service so the seller should respond to that.
Just make sure you send special delivery so you're covered- just in case.0
