    Morning!

It's Friday so looking forward to the weekend. No plans for the weekend so hopefully chance to not spend! Still on Prolific doing those surveys and it's surprising how quick that goes up.
Washing is in the machine and hopefully should stay dry to get it on the line - the fact I have to hope in May it's warm and dry is ridiculous!
    Have a good day all!

    Morning folks

Well apparently my intuition that the soil wouldn't arrive was well founded. Waited at m-i-l's until 8pm but no sign of it. I rang the place and they couldn't really give any explanation. They offered to deliver it today but that's no good so I have rearranged for next Friday. That does mean that poor OH will have to move it all on his own though as I'm getting my hair done :smirk: If there are any more hiccups I will move to plan B and cancel it. - rang this morning and double checked the rebooking. No explanation forthcoming.

Today is very very rainy, but I expected that so I'm going to pull on my big girl pants, channel @determined_new_ms and get the sewing maching out to sort the trousers that have been on the back of the chair for over a month. None of them are big repairs but there's something about sewing that puts me off every time :unamused:  - making good progress

I also sold an ebay item (on behalf of m-i-l) so I have packed it up in reused packaging and I will take it to the post office in a gap in the rain. - posted. And I didnt buy anything in the shop or my favourite DIY shop next door

OH is still in bed. Because we got stuck at m-i-l's yesterday, she got us a takeaway for tea. For some reason OH ordered a burger with doner meat AND a 10" spicy pizza all to himself and proceeded to smash it down in record time. He's always eaten fast but lately I've noticed that he's really gobbling his food. Of course, he was up half the night with a sore stomach. Bit silly of him as he knows that too much bread, fat and spice kicks off his IBS. I will have to make him some nice fresh delicate food today. Possibly some ramen with a bit of ginger to settle his stomach. - he's awake. I don't think it's terminal

Have a good one all and stay dry

    Monring all :)
Pouring with rain today, needed, but yuck! No gardening today, though I did manage a bit of weeding yesterday.
Dog had some sort of episode yesterday and I am keeping a close eye on him. He can walk, but is awkward and wobbly on his rear end - unless he charges off down the garden to bark at something :#  I can see a trip back to the vet's coming on, but I don't think he needs to go today, given the fact that he is in no pain and can still behave like an idiot / wants to play when the mood takes him. I will be keeping him as quiet and calm as possible though. I was hoping to avoid the vet for a while as owners still aren't allowed in with their pets, and apparently he is naughty and snappy with them. It isn't behaviour I would allow, but obviously if I am not there I can't can't do anything about it :(
No walk today - but as it is pouring with rain he wouldn't want to anyway.
Not much done yet, shopped at home for batteries for the heating controller thingy as it was squeaking / flashing for new ones.
Heating is on as it is wet and cold :(
    Tidied kitchen / upstairs
Got a chilli simmering on the stove. I also have leftover cold chicken and a spinach and feta filo pie in the fridge, so we are ok for food for a few days. Might make a cake of some kind.
Wow CLF I don't think I would ever be able to get up again if I ate your OH's takeaway :D  Hope he feels better later.  I don't like sewing either - hope DNMS is ok and busy with hers :)

    Afternoon all,
Off to IKEA again, my friend wants a TV stand but she's not strong enough to pick it up on her own so I'm being dragged along  then we might grab a coffee and then popping to primark for some basics. Weather is awful today!

    Morning folks

Pleased with myself forsorting those jeans out yesterday. That's 4 pairs back into circulation. Feeling a bit groggy this morning -  self inflicted though. I have been feeding my neighbour's cat and they gave me a bottle of prosecco as a thank you...

The plan today is to think about plants. I picked up some plants for the hanging baskets on Thursday so I need to plant them. I also picked up a clematis that needs to be put into a bigger pot. Other than that, I think it'll be a crochet day.

    Have a good one all

    Afternoon all,
Sorting out the freezer to see what we eat and what we don't, whatever we don't it's going in the bin as we don't have a big freezer. I'm then off to asda to pick up some food for cooked dinner this evening, I'll also pick up bits for work lunches this week. Not much else really going on, I might do some cleaning.

    Afternoon all :)
Went to a Sunday market this morning, bought some veg, some bacon and sausages and a few plants for a wall mounted plant stand thing that OH put up for me. Need to buy a couple of pots to fit it, as I only have one that properly fits. A bit disappointing apart from that, particularly given the early start needed!
Dog walk done, dog seems ok, though I think he hurt himself earlier when a neighbour that he particularly likes came in through the back gate, and he went absolutely mad :(  Anyway, he is wandering around ok again now.
Repotted my chilli plants and pinched out their tops, and sowed a few seeds in modules.
Potted up some outdoor pots for the grotty back pathway, used some seedlings I have grown. I think they will be ok outside now, but if not, I have more in the greenhouse. Moved the rest of these into bigger pots / trays as they were in very small module things. Wish I had space for a bigger greenhouse :#
Did a bit of weeding and watered the greenhouse seedlings and lettuce.
Cut some lettuce leaves (the loose leaf sort, like salad leaves) for dinner :)
Picked some rhubarb, which is currently cooking in the oven. I have put in a rice pudding as well, to use all the oven space (and use up some milk as we have lots and the milkman will come in the morning). Chucked in half a pot of leftover cream.
Not sure what dinner will be, apart from lettuce. Possibly eat up the rest of the cooked chicken with salad and a few chips.
I still need to water the tomato plants on the dining table - hope it soon warms up enough for them to go out!
